Another 29-year-old woman, who claimed Mr. Mendy had also abused her at his home two years earlier, also accused him of attempting to rape her.

It comes after a January trial in which he was found not guilty of six rapes.

The France worldwide separated in tears as the not blameworthy decisions were perused out by the jury foreman following a three-week preliminary at Chester Crown Court.

Benjamin Aina KC, indicting, guaranteed he hosted delighted in get-togethers at his home and on two events "made use" of female visitors, while his riches and VIP status transformed him into a man not used to being told "no".

The trial was told that the first complainant, woman A, a 29-year-old student, first met Mr. Mendy in a Barcelona nightclub at the end of 2017 and became intimate with one of his friends.

They kept in touch, and a year later, she made plans to go to the footballer's friend's house to see Mr. Mendy's friend. They stayed there after going out with other girls for the night.

The woman told the jury that the following morning, while she was taking a shower in the bathroom with a private entrance, Mr. Mendy appeared unwelcome, dressed only in boxer shorts, and he was clearly "aroused."

She asserted Mr Mendy then, at that point, got her and attempted to assault her on the bed, in spite of her over and over advising him to stop.

Mr Mendy told the jury the two were "being a tease" during the evening out on the town and the following morning he went to her room and they started embracing on a bed.

He claimed that she informed him that she would not engage in sex with him because she was with his friend.

Mr. Mendy claimed that when he informed her that he had already inquired of his friend, who had advised him that it would be "OK," she became enraged.

He denied attempting to assault her.

Another complainant, lady B, told the preliminary she was out with companions at a bar in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, close to Mr Mendy's home, when they were welcomed back to the footballer's home in 2019.

The 24-year-old affirmed Mr Mendy took her telephone from her, which contained "cozy" photographs, then, at that point, drove her to his locked room, as she requested her telephone back.

She told the jury Mr Mendy told her "I just want to view you" and advised her to take her garments off, which she did.
