A man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting and murdering his 16-year-old sister in a park in Hamilton.

Golden Gibson's body was found in Cadzow Glen on 28 November 2021, two days after she was most recently seen.


Connor Gibson, 20, choked Golden then disposed of garments he had been wearing and called the youngsters' home Golden was remaining at to imagine she was as yet alive.


Another man has been viewed as at real fault for disrupting Golden's body.

Stephen Corrigan - who was obscure to both Golden and Connor Gibson - tracked down her body, but instead than ready police, he improperly contacted her and afterward covered her remaining parts.


During the preliminary at the High Court in Glasgow, the jury heard that Gibson had taken off Golden's garments and attacked her, over and again causing obtuse power injury to her head and body as well as packing her neck with his hands.


In his end explanation, examiner Richard Goddard KC told the jury Golden Gibson was "horrifyingly" killed by the sibling she probably trusted. He named 21 unique conditions which connected Gibson to the homicide and rape.


Connor Gibson had denied every one of the charges against him.


The 13-day preliminary heard that the kin were cultivated from the age of three and five by Craig Niven and his better half Ditty. The couple were conceded super durable consideration of the kin a couple of years after the fact.


Golden left their consideration in 2019. Mr Gibson left after he turned 18 of every 2020.
