Haney dug deep in round 12 and scored the win on the judges scorecards. And the final round was the difference for two judges
with Haney stunning the MGM Grand Arena crowd with a 116-112, 115-113 and a 115-113 unanimous decision.
Haney remains undefeated and was elated after the biggest victory of his career against a Future Hall of Famer. However,
the crowd were less than pleased with boos ringing around the arena. Haney stepped up to speak, but the crowd let their feelings known during his triumph.
When the decision was put to Lomachenko, the Ukrainian remained classy in despair.
"I don't want to talk about this. All people see what happened today," he said.
"I can't talk about this right now, it's just not a comfortable moment for me.
" Lightweight contender Shakur Stevenson jumped into the ring after the fight and claimed Lomachenko had won the fight.
And the boxing world erupted over the decision.
